The bright Jupiter
Compared to the stars, the shine of the Jupiter is much brighter and very easy to find in the sky. The planet can be observed either with the naked eye or by using binoculars. The four Galilei moons can be clearly seen through binoculars of quality. A telescope makes it possible to see dark belts on the surface of Jupiter.
In the picture, taken through a telescope, there are three Galilei moons (picture IH, Finland).
